Planned end of support for Internet Explorer 11

On March 11, 2019, Prophix announced it will remove support for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) effective December 31, 2019.

If you are currently using IE 11, we recommend switching to Edge or another modern browser such as Google Chrome. Microsoft Edge is the best choice if a Microsoft browser must be used at your organization.

After the End of Support date, functionality in Prophix may not work in IE11, and no minor bugs or cosmetic issues will be fixed for IE11.

Why is Prophix removing support for IE11?

Microsoft released the Edge browser as a replacement for IE11 in 2015 as part of it's Windows 10 operating system. As a result, IE11 no longer receives major updates, and lacks many technical features to support modern web applications. IE11 is considered a legacy browser, with much slower JavaScript and rendering performance than modern browsers like Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Prophix strives to deliver products that meet our customers’ needs. The increasing gap between IE11 and all other browsers has meant that we must expend considerable effort to avoid and fix defects that only appear in IE11. It limits our technology choices and ability to deliver the reliability and functionality our customers expect.

Dashboards

  • You can now read and/or listen to chart insights for certain charts. (Prophix Opt-In feature.)

  • Tiles have undergone design changes that give dashboards a new look and feel:

  • In all other modules, when you select File >  Open, the Open dialog includes the Document Explorer search box:

September 93427 Model Manager The maximum number of named sets a dimension could have was limited to 255.
September 89796 Process Manager Mapping tables could not be modified if filters were in effect.
September 90580 Process Manager After changes were made to a level-based dimension, the Publish process did not ensure that members in all levels were sorted by Key instead of Name.
September 91819 Process Manager When scheduling a process, after typing "00" in the start time's minutes segment and then clicking elsewhere, the value would change to "0".
September 93206 Process Manager Changing the start time in an Import Data process removed the measures mapping, resulting in an error when the process was saved.
September 93805 Process Manager When running an export process to MYSQL, a value column would only bring over three decimal places.
September 89295 Report Binder After running the Report Binder process, an Excel workbook formula was replaced with a path and the cell showed #Value.
September 93328 Security Manager Changing the language for the invitation email failed.
September 90106 Template Studio Locales that use semi colons to separate arguments in template formulas encountered syntax errors.
September 90087 Template Studio After export to an Excel spreadsheet, stacked chart columns became clustered columns.
September 91136 Template Studio When adding or removing decimal values in multiple cells the formatting was lost.
September 92451 Template Studio Conditional formatting was lost after exporting to a PDF.
September 92234 Template Studio Could not insert a row or column if doing so intersected with a merged cell that contained a formula.
September 93407 Template Studio In a report with a chart, after removing the blank rows below the chart, when the report ran, a large space appeared below the chart and the report window had a scroll bar.
September 92612 Template Studio In a page dimension, if the selection was All followed by All.LeafDescendants, the All member failed to appear when running in Data Entry or Report mode.
September 92216, 92659, 93300 Templates During data entry, could not paste values greater than 1,000 across multiple cells.
September 93259 Templates If the data view contained blank columns, the Member Definition option disappeared.
September 92976 Templates Line item details were not visible in the line item details report.
September 93108 Workflow Upon submitting a Detailed Planning task, the error message "You are not authorized to view this page" appeared.
