March 2018
Release notes describe the enhancements and bug fixes contained in new releases and maintenance releases.
Note that you can use the search feature in the help to find Prophix Support Desk ticket numbers across all release notes.
Enhancements
The improvements in the current release (and any updates) are as follows:
Document Explorer
- External files can now be imported into Prophix.
Schedules
- The Detailed Planning Object editor can be opened from a schedule.
Template Studio and data views
- The Cells component uses by default the Account dimension numeric formatting (defined in Model Manager).
- Numeric formatting: "Accounting" numeric formatting now respects region and currency symbol and aligns negative numbers with either a negative sign (-) or brackets.
- All data view components can be moved around on the grid using drag-and-drop.
- Template cells and components in the grid can be repositioned by selecting the appropriate cell(s) and using the drag handle to drag-and-drop the selection.
- Data views have a revised layout for multi-dimension and unique combination types to reduce confusion and simplify screens.
- Changed functionality to be more Excel-like in regard to:
- Inserting/deleting rows and columns
- Formula bar
- If you type an equal sign (=), grid formula suggestions appear, along with a function syntax preview
- In the template grid, rows and columns are inserted independent of intersecting data views. (Also inserts a blank row or column to any intersecting data views.)
- Inserting and editing Auto Text now provides a simpler user experience.
- Inserting images now has a more Excel-like feel, including the use of Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V.
- Template options dialog:
- Save As Excel tab has the added option to exclude a table of contents sheet.
- Designer Tab provides even more sample data options to accommodate user preferences: Sample data, Random data, first page combination cube data, and specific page combination cube data.
- Page Setup dialog: Page preview is now included in the page setup window.
- There are now three member selector types: Single dimension, Multi-dimension, and Unique Combinations.
- You can adjust data in one or more consecutive cells.

Note that the current build is always cumulative: it contains all previous patches.
