Report Insights
The Report Insights feature automates adding comments to Row Notes.
During template data entry, you use Report Insights to add the trend narrative In a contribution insight, the comparison of results between periods. from an existing Contribution Insight into a Row Note.
Tip: The Report Insights feature is particularly useful in variance reporting (for example: actual versus budget, current year versus previous year) which often requires adding a lot of repetitive commentary.

Best practices
- To use Version as the comparison dimension In a contribution insight, the dimension used for value comparisons; always either Time or Version., ensure that only Version dimensions are present in the columns, otherwise Time is used as the basis for comparison.
- We recommend tying the Row Note column to the plan Version and not the variance or actual Versions.
