Page member filters for tile groups
A dashboard can have a tile group, which is two or more tiles that derive their data from the same model and that you set up to use the same page dimensions as filters.
When the dashboard user selects a different page member for one of the group tiles, the member combinations in the other tiles are updated accordingly. For more info, go here.
Prerequisites
The requirements and restrictions are as follows:
- A dashboard can have only one group.
- Only badge and chart tiles can be added to the group.
- The badge and chart tiles must be linked to data views that come from the same model.
- The data views must have page dimensions.
- A tile that is part of a group cannot have its own filter definition.
Create a tile group
- In Dashboard Studio, open the dashboard file you want to add a tile group to.

In the lip, click Create Group.
Each eligible tile is marked with a and the name of its model appears in the title bar.

In each tile you want in the group, click .
To unselect a tile, click .

Click OK.
The Page Dimension Selection dialog opens.
- Select the page dimensions you want the group to be filtered on.
- Click OK.
- Save the dashboard.
Change a tile group
- In Dashboard Studio, open the dashboard file you want to work on.

In the lip, click Edit Group.
Each group member tile is marked with a .

Do any of the following:

To remove all group members: at the bottom left click Clear Selections.

To clear a single member: click its .

To add a member: click its .

Click OK.
The Page Dimension Selection dialog opens.
- Select/deselect the page dimensions you want the group to be filtered on.
- Click OK.
- Save the dashboard.
Remove a tile group
- In Dashboard Studio, open the dashboard file you want to work on.

In the lip, click Edit Group.
Each group member tile is marked with a .
- At the bottom left click Clear Selections.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes.
- Save the dashboard.
How tiles can go missing from a group
External changes to a tile can cause it to be removed from the group.
A tile is removed from the group if any of the following occur:
- A badge tile's data source changes from Data view to Fixed value.
- A tile's data view is deleted or moved to the Recycle Bin.
- A tile's data view is replaced with another that uses a different model.
- A tile's data view is replaced or edited such that it no longer has any page dimensions in common with any other tile in the group.
