Announcements Studio
Announcements are brief messages that appear in a dashboard (it needs to have an Announcements tile)
Global Administrators create announcements using Announcement Studio, and then add them to dashboards using Dashboard Studio.
Open Announcements Studio
- Click the logo at the top-left corner and select Announcements Studio.
Add or edit an announcement
- Do one of the following:
- Click .
- Select an existing announcement from the list.
- Select an icon appropriate to the announcement.
- Type a Title (up to 50 characters).
In Body type or paste your message (up to 1,000 characters).
Tip: If you type a URL, it will be hyperlinked and when a user clicks it the address will open in a separate browser tab.
Optionally, to add an attachment file click .
(In their dashboards, users will see a icon in a corner of the tile; clicking the icon downloads the attachment.)
You can attach any of the following file types: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .png, .jpeg, .bmp, .gif, .tif, .txt, .xps, .rtf.
Note: An attachment file can be up to 23 MB.
- By default, active announcements appear to all users. Optionally, to specify who sees the message, beside User/Group click ,
- To set the dates the message starts/stops running, beside Start date/End date click .
- Click Save .
