Announcements Studio

Announcements are brief messages that appear in a dashboard (it needs to have an Announcements tile) and in the Notifications Hub. The current set of announcements appear in rotation, and clicking an announcement opens it.

Global Administrators create announcements using Announcement Studio, and then add them to dashboards using Dashboard Studio.

Open Announcements Studio

  • Click the logo at the top-left corner and select Announcements Studio.

Add or edit an announcement

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click .
    • Select an existing announcement from the list.
  2. Select an icon appropriate to the announcement.
  3. Type a Title (up to 50 characters).
  4. In Body type or paste your message (up to 1,000 characters).

     Tip:  If you type a URL, it will be hyperlinked and when a user clicks it the address will open in a separate browser tab.

  5. Optionally, to add an attachment file click .

    (In their dashboards, users will see a icon in a corner of the tile; clicking the icon downloads the attachment.)

    You can attach any of the following file types: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .png, .jpeg, .bmp, .gif, .tif, .txt, .xps, .rtf.

     Note:  An attachment file can be up to 23 MB.

  6. By default, active announcements appear to all users. Optionally, to specify who sees the message, beside User/Group click ,
  7. To set the dates the message starts/stops running, beside Start date/End date click .
  8. Click Save .
