Define reporting categories
In Detailed Planning Manager, administrators can add, edit, delete, and sort the reporting categories for a model.
Create a reporting category
- Select Administration > Reporting Categories.
- In the lip, click .
- Type a Name (up to 250 characters).
- To exclude the category from the Total line in the Summary view, turn off Show in Summary.

To hide the category in the Summary tab, select Hide.
Note: If a category is hidden, and a calculation assigned to it has a target account (in any cube), the resulting values are not shown in the Summary tab's Reporting Category View and are not added to the values shown in the Target Account View.
- To set a category's format in the Summary tab, select from Numeric Format.
- To change the order of the categories, select a row and click or .
- Select Save.
Manage reporting categories
In the Reporting Categories panel, use the options in the lip to add, delete, and move reporting categories up and down in the panel.
