Give users access to the model

To use a detailed planning model, your users need the proper security permissions. You need to do the following:

  1. Add detailed planning users to FP&A Plus.

    All non-administrative users of detailed planning need to have security access as well as access to the detailed planning cube.

    You set up access using Security Manager.

  2. Add the users to the detailed planning model.

    In Detailed Planning Manager you add the users to the model and define their data access permissions (both are described below.)

    These settings provide fine-grained control over what users can see and change in detailed planning.

Open detailed planning security

  • Select Administration > Security.

Add a user(s) to detailed planning

  1. Under Users, click .

    User Selector opens. The list on the left shows all users in FP&A Plus.

  2. Choose one or more users to add to detailed planning; move them into the list on the right, and click OK.
  3. Select File > Save.

Define data access for a detailed planning user

  1. Under Users, select the user.
  2. Under General Security, specify the user's relationship to Actions and Allocations, and whether the user can delete records from the model.
  3. Under Attribute, define the user's relationship to individual attributes. Assigning No access means the attribute is hidden from the user.
  4. Save.

Remove a user from detailed planning

  1. Select the user, and click .
  2. Save.

Reset a user's permissions to the default settings

  1. Select the user.
  2. Click or click Default Security.
  3. Save.
