Prompting

Prompting for columns and rows

You can tell Reporting Agent exactly what you want to see in the columns and rows of the data view (instead of having Time across the columns).

For example:

  • Generate a detailed Balance Sheet for Q2 2025 showing significant variances between Actuals and Plan.

    • The response produces a data view with the correct columns (Actual, Plan, Variance) and rows (assets, liabilities, equity) populated correctly across scenarios, entities, and time periods.

  • Show me the P&L for Stark Industries with actuals versus forecast for Q2 2025 and Q3 2025.

    • The response produces a data view with multiple periods and displays variances correctly.
