 Template Calculation process

The Template Calculation process is designed to turn a template into an automated calculation engine.

The process automates the following steps that a user performs manually:

1. Open the template in data-entry mode.
2. Allow all the cell formulas in the template to recalculate based on the current data values that it reads from the source cube(s).
3. Click Save. The calculated data is saved to the cube.
4. Close the template.

If a template contains multiple page dimensions, the Template Calculation process loops through the pages, opening and saving them, one after another.

Parameters

This process has the following parameters:

• Description: Optional. Up to 250 characters.

• Template: Click  and browse to select the template you want to use.

• Total number of template pages: (Not editable.) Shows the total number of page combinations that exist for the selected template.

• Maximum number of pages to calculate: Specify the number of page combinations that you want calculated. Up to 999 pages.
