Detailed Planning Import process (Input Calculation data)
You can import data to your detailed planning model. Importing data requires an external data source, and is performed in the same way as any other data import to FP&A Plus.
General tab

Description: Optional. Up to 250 characters.

Detailed Planning Object Import: Populates the attributes of the Detailed Planning Object (for example, in personnel planning, this is employee data). This version of the process is discussed here.

Detailed Planning Input Calculation Data: Brings in data required for an Input Calculation by the Detailed Planning Object (for example, monthly mobile phone bills, by employee).

Target: The model and scenario to import the data to.
Source tab

File name: The text file or Excel file.

Sheet: A list of all available worksheets in the Excel file.
Import Options tab

Write option: Your can either have new data added to the existing data, or replace the data of members that are affected by the import.

Time Period: Define the time range by specifying its start and end.
Target Mapping tab
The final step is to map or match the source data fields to the target fields, for the destination dimensions.

Auto Match: Click to map the fields. (You will be able to edit/reject the results.)
Otherwise, manually match target dimensions with data sources:

Target: Shows DP Object ID, the Calculation ID, and each period belonging to the current Time Period.

Source: Select a data import source for the target dimension.

Transformation: Optionally, you can add a mapping table; browse to select an existing one or click to open the Mapping Table Editor to create one.
If for Source you chose Specific member, click to open Member Selector and choose a member.
Save the process group.
