 Adjust Data dialog

Use the Adjust Data tool in data views to apply simple transformations to numeric data.

The adjustment options are as follows:

• Adjust by %

  The values in the selection are altered by the percentage that you specify.

  For example, if you specify 10%, the values 100, 200, 300 change to 110, 220, and 330.

• Adjust by amount

  The values in the selection are altered by the value that you specify.

  For example, if you specify 10, the values 100, 200, 300 change to 110, 210, 310.

• Inflate by %

  If contiguous cells are selected, the first is increased by the percentage that you specify, the next cell by that result plus the percentage, and so on for each cell that follows.

  For example, if you specify 10%, the values 100, 200, 300 change to 100, 110, 121.

• Interpolate

  Requires contiguous cells. The intermediate cells are changed to contain intermediate values.

  For example, if you select the series 100, 900, 0, 300, 500, the values are changed to 100, 200, 300, 400, 500.
