Caution: We do not recommend using deprecated features for any new project work.
Deprecated features
Feature | Task Assistant |
Reason | The Financial Planning & Analysis Task Assistant is being deprecated due to the end-of-life of the underlying AWS technology platform in September 2025. Continuing support would pose technical and security risks. FP&A Plus now offers a more advanced and secure AI Assistant that includes all the Task Assistant's core functionality and more, making it the ideal replacement. This deprecation also aligns with Prophix’s shift toward unified, AI-powered planning experiences and eliminates technical debt. |
Replacement | FP&A Plus AI Assistant |
Announcement date | June 15, 2025 |
Effective | As of September 1, 2025 (Financial Planning & Analysis version 2025.3.0) |
Required action | Customers with an active add-on license for Task Assistant must contact their CSM to arrange migration to FP&A Plus and ensure continuity of functionality. Customers using Task Assistant through the AI Engagement bundle do not need to take action and will find Task Assistant automatically removed. |
Feature | Concurrent usage of both Prophix users and Single Sign On (SSO) users |
Reason | To enhance user security model in FP&A and ensure common security model such as password policies, MFA, is enforced for all users. Organisations that have elected to utilise SSO require this for compliance with corporate security policies without exceptions. |
Replacement | None |
Announcement date | July 2020 |
Effective | As of 2024.1 Release (February 2024) |
Required action | If you have both FP&A and SSO users defined, you should convert the FP&A users to SSO. |
Discontinued features
Feature | Prophix DUO Integration |
Reason |
Duo Security announced end-of-support for the traditional Duo Prompt effective March 30, 2024, and end-of-life to follow. As of the to-be-announced end-of-life date, the traditional Duo Prompt will cease to function altogether. Since the introduction of DUO with Prophix (in 2019), comparable MFA capabilities have now become standard on leading Single Sign On platforms such as AzureAD and Okta and are more widely adopted by organizations. |
Replacement | Use SSO provider or MFA via the Prophix One Portal. |
Announcement date | March 30, 2024 |
Effective | January 1, 2025 |
Required action | Use MFA via your SSO provider or reach out to your CSM to arrange to move to the Prophix One platform where MFA is available. |
Feature | Data Integration Service |
Reason | Superseded by the release of its successor. |
Replacement | Data Integration, a standalone application. (For more information, see www.di-studio.help.prophix.cloud.) |
Announcement date | March 2023 |
Effective | April 2023 |
Required action | None. All customers either already have been migrated to Data Integration, or will be migrated during March 2023. |
Feature | Minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 |
Reason | To attain the optimal user experience and display the UI as best intended. |
Replacement | Recommended minimum screen resolution of 1366 x 768 |
Announcement date | June 2021 |
Effective | As of the Fall 2021 Release (November 2021) |
Required action | If you have users currently using 1024 x 768 screen resolutions, recommend they move to a minimum of 1366 x 768. |
Deprecated browser support
Browser | Microsoft Edge Legacy |
Reason | Microsoft is replacing the first release of Edge (aka: Edge Legacy) with its new browser called Edge Chromium and is slowly replacing it as part of Windows 10 updates. Microsoft is no longer enhancing the Edge Legacy browser. |
Replacement | Microsoft Edge Chromium |
Announcement date | July 2020 |
Effective | As of Fall 2020 Release (November 2020) |
Required action | If you have users currently using Edge Legacy as their primary browser, please replace it with another modern browser, or switch to Edge Chromium. |
Discontinued browser support
Browser | Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 |
Reason | Released over 6 years ago, Internet Explorer 11 (aka: IE11) is not considered a modern browser anymore and lacks support for many new web standards. As a result, IE11 no longer receives major updates, and lacks many technical features to support modern web applications. IE11 is considered a legacy browser, with much slower JavaScript and rendering performance than modern browsers. |
Replacement | Modern browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge Chromium |
Announcement date | March 2019 |
Effective | As of Fall 2019 Release (November 2019) |
Required action | If you have users currently using Internet Explorer as their primary browser, please replace it with another modern browser, or switch to Edge Chromium. |
